Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about EasyPeasy Booking — free and Pro.
Getting started
Is EasyPeasy Booking really free?
Yes — completely. The core plugin is free to download from WordPress.org and free to keep, with no time limit, no account, and no commission on your bookings. You only pay if you choose to upgrade to Pro for advanced features.
How quickly can I start taking bookings?
Most businesses are live within about 15 minutes. Install the plugin from your WordPress dashboard, add your services and opening hours, then drop the [epbk_booking] widget onto any page. That's it — you're taking bookings on your own site.
Do my customers need an app or account to book?
No. Customers book directly on your website in a few taps — choose a service, pick a time, and enter their details. There's no app to download and no account to create. The simpler it is, the more bookings you get.
Free vs Pro
What's included in the free version?
Everything you need to take bookings: unlimited services, the booking widget (shortcode and block), a services list, opening hours and availability control, double-booking prevention with buffer times, cash and WooCommerce payments, automatic confirmation emails, customer self-cancellation, an admin dashboard with stats, and CSV import.
What does upgrading to Pro unlock?
Pro (€79/year for a single site) adds the tools growing businesses need: staff management with individual availability, digital gift vouchers, automatic 24-hour booking reminders, a managed Stripe integration, and branded email delivery with your own logo and colours.
Will the free version ever expire or stop working?
Never. The free version is free forever — no trial, no expiry, and no feature that suddenly locks. Upgrade to Pro only if and when you want the extra features. If a Pro licence lapses, the free plugin keeps working exactly as before.
Payments and commission
Do you take any commission on my bookings?
No — ever. Unlike marketplace platforms such as Fresha, Treatwell, or Booksy, EasyPeasy Booking never takes a cut of your bookings or your revenue. What your customers pay is yours to keep. That's the whole point of running bookings on your own site.
How do customers pay?
The free version supports cash / pay-at-venue (no card needed) and any gateway you already run through WooCommerce, including Stripe and PayPal. Pro adds a direct, managed Stripe integration so payments land in your account instantly, separate from WooCommerce.
Reminders and emails
Will my customers get a booking confirmation?
Yes, automatically — on the free version. Both you and your customer receive a confirmation email the moment a booking is made, sent from your own site. Customers also get a self-cancellation link so they can cancel without having to ring you.
Can I reduce no-shows with reminders?
Yes, with Pro. It automatically emails each customer a reminder 24 hours before their appointment — no setup required. Fewer forgotten appointments means fewer empty slots and less lost revenue.
Support
How do I get help if I'm stuck?
Free users can post on the EasyPeasy Booking support forum on WordPress.org, where we and the community help out. Pro licence holders get priority email support at hello@easypeasybooking.irish — from our Ireland-based team, usually within one business day.
